It's now been 45 days since I started out on my organic odyssey - I wasn't going to let only having a small London balcony put me off trying my hand at vegetable gardening!  On the London vegetable Garden, I have posted a new entry with photos on how far I'm getting!  Whether you're an amateur looking for advice or a pro who's offering it, check out how I'm getting on by clicking here and then leaving me comments on this forum - ALL advice is SO helpful to me and RHS members have been the best!  Thanks!

wow. your beans are doing better than mine which are outside in a tiny london garden. Maybe I should get a balcony Wink Your blogs great.

Im experimenting with growing the same veg in 3 different areas of my flat. Indoors, in the soil outside and in a growbag greenhouse. different veg are doing differently in all 3 areas, so as I havent got a balcony Id love to know what veg are doing well on the balcony area.

Hi Lennie, Thanks for the kind comments! I think that trialling plants in different areas is a great idea - would be interested in the findings - do you have a blog? I plan to do a similar experiment report on my tomatoes - some plants have been in the same seed tray since planting, some have been transplanted 2 0r 3 to a large pot, others one to a pot. The 2-3 to a pot are the ones faring the worst, although they are still growing!

My tomatoes behaved strangely this year. I sowed in two lots, two weeks apart. The first lot grew beautifully and have carried on growing. The second lot stopped growing at 2 inches high. Until I put them outside and they started growing again.

I havent a garden blog (have other blogs, so maybe I should do a garden page, good idea).Im following your blog however.

Turnips and Blueberries are the best crops for me this year upto yet.
