The tomato plants I'm growing as part of the London Vegetable Garden project are growing great guns at the moment - they are around 10-12cm tall.

I'm worried about putting them outside just yet as I don't have a greenhouse (just a balcony), but what is the best way to plant them / support them in a grow bag?  Pictures of my balcony can be viewed by clicking here so that you can get an idea of what I'm working with.

(The London Vegetable Garden is a unique urban organic gardening project - just how much of my own natural, organic produce and vegetables can be grown on my small London balcony?  This is container gardening taken to new (even smaller) sizes!)

London is much warmer than surrounding areas so you can certainly put out your toms and the yield and quality of urban toms will be much higher then in the outer subirbs and countryside..  You can buy nifty supports for toms in growing bags which can be reused year after year and save much faffing about.

The wind snapped my toms in half at weekend  (London). And they were supported well. Be careful of the wind is my advice Callum.Smile
