    Hi all,

Last year I pot of parsley in the supermarket and planted it into my raised bed in the garden. I have been picking it all winter. It is now starting to run to seed, and I am not sure if it is ok to keep picking it. Does anyone know?

    Thanks

Yes it should still be fine to use. If you pinch out the flower stems then you will be able to prolong its useful life time aswell. By taking out the flower stem you will promot new leaf growth which is what is wanted, the new, younger leaves.

If you leave the flowers on however you can always collect the seed and sow it again for some more parsley for free!

I'm still picking my flat leafed parsley that was sown from seed last year Edit.  I pulled off lots of the outer bigger leaves and the thick stems a couple of weeks ago, and since then loads of new leaves have come through.

Thank you both for your help. Smile I will take off the flower shoots from all but one plant and get seeds for next year from that one.
