Hi!  I've never done one of these before, but here goes.  My 5 year old grandson's school is transforming(hopefully) a large patch of ground into a veg/fruit garden, with a pond and sensory garden area.  I will be helping with a gardening club at lunchtimes - we are just setting this up and the real preparationwork starts this weekend.  We have been offered help by a local garden centre and a farming goods outlet - we have been asked to put together a 'wish list'. for tools, equipment etc.`  Where do we start - any suggestions gratefully received.  I have used the RHS Campaign for School Gardening website which is brilliant and will be asking the school to register.  I have an RHS Level II Certificate in Horticulture - Sept. 08 - all theory so far, but we'll see how the practice turns out!  Ideas for the wish list gratefully appreciated.

you might consider constructing raised beds which might make it easier for the children and adults aswell as for equipment may be hand trowels/forks etc watering cans waterbutts if you can collect rain water easily just depends how generous your garden centre and farmers merchants are going to be!
