    My Good Lady Wife doing her bit  for continuation of Species

    Has just ordered Sweet Cicely from A Heritage Seedsman

    I shall keep you all up to date with any developments

     Query has anyone else got this plant in their garden and have they any advice regards it.

    I've always grown it as a culinary herb, useful for sweetening fruit (it also means you can cut down on the amount of refined sugar you use!) & an "architectural" plant in the herb border.

    Sitting, spinning threads of stories & weaving the colourful strands of life.

    A word of caution - I hope it's not too late - beware of this plant! Lovely as it is it will take over your garden! Be careful to remove all flowering stems before the seed ripens (becomes dark brown) and falls. Or save the seed for your cooking etc, but don't let it self-seed. It's tap-roots are also impossible to dig up so before you plant/sow it think carefully about where you position it! In the right place I admit it is lovely.
