    Hi,

My eucalyptus tree leaves have started to turn yellow/ peach in colour, there is more at the bottom and when you touch them they fall straight off but are not hard to the touch.

The majority of the tree is fine its just about a quarter of it and its happened in the last couple of weeks.

Its in organic compost and is looked after as are all of my plants but I just don't know what it is.

Please can anyone help as I love it and was a gift from my parents.

    Regards,

    Paula

Hi Paula I am really worried as I too have the same probelm it seems.  My tree is massive and right next to my house - if it dies, I would be devastated, but also I think that my house would be in serious trouble too as I think that the foundations could be compromised.

I moved in nearly a year ago and several of the trees have died - or are looking really unhealthy and I am wondering if there is a general disease here that may have affected them all (Curly willow, Laburnam, horse chestnut, damson).  I live in St Leonards on Sea, in  ahill top location so we get a lot of high winds - if that is any help at all?

If anyone can help I would be most grateful

Are you saying that is is losing some of the lower leaves?  This is consistent with a lightly stressed plant re-allocating resouces to younger and more productive leaves and is not a cause  for concern.

    Hi Boggy,

Sorry for the delay in replying - I am new here and thought that I would receive an email notification of a reply - silly me!  No the yellow leaves seem to be pretty uniformly spread throughout the tree - however to be fair the top most leave do not seem to be affected - although maybe I can't see that far up - it is a massive tree.
