My automated potato blight warning subscription tells me that we have had the correct meteorological conditions for blight this week - time to get spraying. Boggy

Gosh, Thats early!
Thanks for this advice Mr. Boggy.
Is Dithane 945 still legal or am I risking having my shoulder felt merely by having it in my horticultural medicine cabinet?. Does anyone know plse.
Thank you

Would that be for tomatoes too - or just spuds?

Tatties, toms, the blight makes no distinction - be on your guard. Dithane is still legal ( although, maybe not next year) and so is copper for now. Boggy

Goji berries are an invasive weed in some parts of Britain and have never been troubled by blight. Boggy

On Friday's GW Joe was worried about his gojiberry plants spreading disease to his spuds and toms so he dug them all out.

Not all goji bushes are illegal imports - seek ressurances from your suppliers.
I suspect Mr Swift could get no such assuarances and his plants had to go.

Is there anything we can do to prevent blight ruining our crops other than/ in addition to spraying with chemicals?

Short of keeping them under cover Phot's, I don't think there is, know anywhere that sells giant umbrellas?
