    well it is a lovely shade of blue though, I am going to have a go at a yellow sweet pea next. Seriously I would have thought that by now with the genetic modification technology someone would have been able to manipulate the genetics to produce a truely blue dahlia.

    I haven't got enough ink to water them with .... (Did you know that if you buy one of those minature white roses in pots and water it with a vegetable based ink or blue food colouring, you really will get blue roses?)

    Yes you can do the same with daffodils I can sell some blue dahlia seed but i can't guarantee that the seed will be true to type. ;-)

    I don't think it can be achieved Miranda, For years and years people have tried to breed one, its the same for the yellow sweet pea. I think the only chance of theses phenomena occuring will be by random pollination and lots of luck. Unless of course the GM crowd can do it.
