I hope I don’t live to regret saying this, but it feels like we are turning a corner. As usually happens at a certain stage of a project, I start to see encouraging glimpses of the vision that until now has only existed in my head.
These glimpses have given me and the Hortus infinitus team a noticeable lift. Everyone is encouraged now that they can start to see what I have been going on about for so long. There was real excitement today as we washed down the beautiful purple slate walls. Water brings out the rich purple colour, in a similar way to applying oil, which is what we will be doing in a few days time once Andy and the team have finished the mammoth task of laying all 36,000 slates. Thanks guys, great effort, my life would certainly be far less soft, quilty and luxurious without you!
Perhaps I should explain that Hortus infinitus is the slightly pretentious name I decided to call my landscaping company when I started it some 8 years ago. I know exactly what you are thinking and all I can say is, it seemed like a good idea at the time!
