It’s around a month since we launched the rocket composter; we have been adding food waste and woodchip diligently over the last few weeks, and now 'hoorah' we have compost.
The Rocket is producing 1.5 bags of finished compost a week at the moment which will probably rise to 3 in busier periods. The quality of compost produced looks very good and has its first unofficial trial in my veg garden raised beds.
There are a few improvements to be made to this system. The garden wood chip we are using at present is a little damp; better chip will be made from the garden waste wood and stored in the dry until needed.
