We all had a great time at Rosemoor's Apple Day last Sunday (12 October). The weather couldn't have been better and around 1,400 visitors gathered to learn about apples, see cookery demonstrations, have mystery apples identified and take part in apple pressing and workshops. There was even a crab apple mosaic in the form of the RHS logo, designed and made by Senior Garden Supervisor Peter Earl from a selection of Rosemoor's own apples!
The annual Apple Day is one of our biggest events, and this year the sun shone on us, making it a perfect day! We were also joined by two Gloucester Old Spot pigs, which were popular with the children! A competition to name the pigs was won by Katie Scott of Bideford who came up with the names Russett and Pippin, two types of apple
