Our intrepid video recordist, Mike Howes, and his lovely assistant Jenna have finished recording the video pieces of the show and the discs with the raw footage are hotfooting it down to London as I type.

They now need to be encoded for use on the website, but hopefully that will all be sorted in time for them to go live on the website tomorrow

The Online team is back at the showground and we're mopping up anything that we didn't get coverage of yesterday.

Today, the show opens to RHS members, so we need to ensure we get everything done before the show opens - hence getting here at 6am! Once the show opens it gets more difficult to get 'clean' shots of the exhibits without a lot of background 'noise'. And it's more difficult to walk around the site quickly

As promised (or threatened to my fellow workers!) we left Peterborough at 5am this morning - and arrived on the showground at 8.20am. It was a great drive up and we were greeted by blue skies.

Into the Pres Tent for a quick coffee, then it was off around the show to get the pictures and stories for the show

The Online team is all ready and raring to go and looking forward to running around getting our live coverage of the show. We're forming an advanced editorial party, so we can get to the show as early as possible as we've only got two days to get everything covered. We're leaving Peterborough at 5.30am tomorrow morning and zooming up the M6 - so it's fingers crossed for no accidents or other hold-ups

It's now only 12 days until the Online team descend on Tatton Park to start our live coverage of the show. And we can't wait. We'll be on site on 22 and 23 July running around like mad things ensuring we get stories and pictures for all the delights that the show has to offer.
