Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Definitely one of those!
John (sporting a rumex-weed necklace above) and Judi have been rather distracted from their tasks this week with a private bird of prey demonstration. These stunning birds are occasionally exercised over a sports field in Wisley Village, close to our Deer's Farm experimental plot. It's rather hard to make out but below, set against a cloud, you can just see the bird they were gawping at. Not sure what it made of us!

Summer tasks continue on Plants for Bugs. One is the taking of overhead photographs which requires the manipulation of our ladder across each bed in turn. The more the plants grow the harder this job becomes. Cutting back some of the roses last week definitely helped but I'll need to raise this in our next Team Management meeting at the end of August.
