The focal point is a fast-flowing stream and a curved concrete wall. Perennials and trees are positioned within the stream bed, diverting the flow into several braided channels. The key element in the garden is the glass deck which sits above the stream. This surface visually connects and symbolically divides the garden between minimalism and naturalistic elements.
Our plants are selected for flood meadow conditions. The majority of the plants are perennials and grasses forming a low growing, ground pattern that references the design lines of the hard landscaping.

re: It begins...

Hi. I chatted to you on Thursday afternoon, and loved your garden. I explained that I was creating my own glassed roof terrace and wanted ideas for good designs for making it non-slip by sandblasting and you kindly gave me the name of the company in Clapham which sandblasted your glass. ..Could you possibly give it to me again? Maybe you could post the answer on your blog? Many thanks. ALD
