April is beautiful so far. It's the Easter holidays, and the garden is full of daffodils in full bloom, marvellous magnolias, happy families and willow weaving. But this week, Tuesday 7th April, you have a chance to see something a bit special, in the Alpine Department.

For something a little different and discerning, we have an exciting opportunity for you to discover the beauty and delicacy of our alpine plant collection. You can have a behind-the-scenes look at the Wisley Alpine Department in the company of RHS gardeners and members of the Rock Garden Plant Committee. Guided tours of the Rock Garden, including areas not usually open to the public, will begin at 10.30am. We will also have free demonstrations of trough-planting at the Bowes-Lyon Pavilion with experts on hand to put your rock-related questions to.
Timed tickets are £2 per person and are available on the day from the Bowes-Lyon Pavilion.
I hope you get the chance to come along. Alpine plants are so beautiful!
