Ian LeGros Curator RHS Garden Hyde Hall

I joined the Hyde Hall team as an untrained assistant gardener in 1992, was promoted to Garden Superintendent in April 2005 and then to Curator in June 2006. Over the years I have been lucky enough to play a lead role in many of Hyde Hall’s landmark projects including setting out the Farmhouse Garden, the redevelopment of the Queen Mother’s Garden, and the creation of the Millennium Avenue and Wild Wood. Most recently I helped to co-design the new Robinson Garden which was opened in 2007.

Autumn Fun this weekend - 24/25 October

Posted by Ian LeGros on 20 Oct 2009 at 05:01 PM

This weekend is our ever-popular Taste of Autumn Weekend.

In addition to the numerous food stalls and colourful apple, pumpkin and chilli pepper displays we also have two special self-guided trails for you to try...

The first is a Crab Apple Trail and we have picked 18 of our best Malus trees for you to admire.

The other trail is called 'Bizzie the Bee'.  This is specially for our younger visitors and is a fun trail of poetry and facts.
