This month at Harlow Carr Gift & Book Shop we have many delights on offer to tempt the discerning shopper; the tennis season is upon us and with that in mind we have teamed mouth-watering strawberry bowls with cream jugs, fruity aprons with embroidered food-covers and other delights - from elderflower cordial to recipe ideas for those lazy afternoon teas. Our elderflower presse makes a fantastic non-alcoholic alternative to champagne, served chilled.
The Gift Shop has many new lines this month, including boxed Dessert chocolates from House of Dorchester - varieties include wild berry crumble, strawberry cheesecake and lemon meringue! Another old favourite, Rose & Violet creams are also in stock now.

Coming up at Harlow Carr is the Strawberry Fair on the 5th July 2009 (10am - 4pm)
There will be tastings, walks and displays on a wide variety of soft fruit including strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, blackberries and more. Visitors will be able to get expert advice on how to grow their own. With storytime for children, a chocolate fountain, and swingball tennis on the lawns, now is a great time to bring all the family, followed by a browse in the gift shop or relax on the balcony in the bookshop and admire the view!
