After a lot of hard work, dealing with several set backs along the way (as nothing ever goes as planned) and days of working our socks off we did it, we have managed to win a medal at Chelsea. I was absolutely delighted to arrive at our stand this morning to find we had been rewarded with a Bronze medal!
For our first ever entry at the Chelsea Flower Show, to walk away with a Bronze medal is something we can all be very proud of. Now that we have had a successful introduction all I can say is watch this space as it's all onwards and upwards from here...
Visitors to the show will be able to see our 'alternative version' of Amy Winehouse stand proud on the top of our stand. She looks out over the Great Pavillion and can be seen from afar. Her partner in crime is our modern day 'Marilyn Monroe' who sits playfully on the edge feeling somewhat worse for wear after a 'heavy night out' at the Gala Preview evening, still clinging on to her glass of champagne!
As well as floral gowns as modelled by Amy and Marilyn you will also be able to see handbags and shoes made from flowers. A big WELL DONE to our BFA member florists who made the whole stand happen this year. Amanda Eldred, Sam Soper, Steve, Ann and Bob Betts and Tracy Rowbottom.
But enough from me, it's time to go to bed as tomorrow the Chelsea alarm will sound again at 5:30am. Come and see us on the stand, it wil,be a pleasure to introduce you to Amy and Marilyn! :-)
